HypnoBirthing® classes with Engaged Birth
Engaged Birth offers a professional, evidence-based approach to childbirth education and preparation, empowering mothers and their partners to experience an engaged, comfortable birth.
HypnoBirthing® is a long-established method that informs and supports a woman to give birth in a peaceful and instinctual manner. It is a program a that considers the psychological and physical, well-being of the mother, her birth partner, and their newborn baby, irrespective of the birthing environment.
The HypnoBirthing® program offers theoretical and practical education in specialised breathing techniques, relaxation, visualisation, and meditation. Most importantly, it promotes mutual respect for the birthing family and healthcare provider, and encourages families to make informed choices about their birthing experience.
Monique Gannon is a registered psychologist and certified ‘Mongan Method’ HypnoBirthing® practitioner in Adelaide. With a professional background in child and adult psychology, Monique also brings personal experience to HypnoBirthing®, having enjoyed its benefits during her pregnancy and the birth of her daughter in 2013 and son in 2015.
The HypnoBirthing® course is conducted in a small group over five sessions of two and a half hours each. Classes include HypnoBirthing® – The Mongan Method (text), 12 hours of face-to-face contact time, printed handout materials, and a relaxation audio download card.
Next group course begins Thursday, 8 June, 7-9:30pm at Kid & Hub.
